WHEREAS, Ryan Woodson, Barge Civil Associates ("Applicant"), has requested that Alley #187 between Alley #1801 and Martin Street, and all utility easements, be abandoned; and,
WHEREAS, Applicant has further requested that Brown Street, between Humphreys Street and Alley #187, and all utility easements, be abandoned; and,
WHEREAS, all abutting property owners have consented to the abandonment; and,
WHEREAS, the public rights-of-way proposed for abandonment are of no further use for Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. Abandonment of Alley #187 right-of-way, from Alley #1801 westward to the northwest point of parcel 10507011900, as depicted on the maps attached to this ordinance, including all utility easements within it, is hereby approved.
Section 2. Abandonment of Brown Street right-of-way, from Humphreys Street to Alley #187, as depicted on the maps attached to this ordinance, including all utility easements within it, is hereby approved.
Section 3. That the Director of the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure be and hereby is authorized and directed, upon the enactment and approval of this ordinance, to cause said change to be made on the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Street and Alley Centerline Layer for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, and to make notation thereon of reference to the date of passage and approval of this amendatory ordinance.
Section 4. Amendments to this legislation may be approved by resolution.
