A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Public Property Director to sign and record Notices of Federal Interest pursuant to a Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) grants from the U.S. Department of Education to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, that funded the construction projects on Metropolitan Government property.

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools entered into awarded Grant Number: S425U210047 Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) grants with the U. S. Department Education, with a total for all grants not exceeding $24,036,227.42 with no cash match required to the Metropolitan Government, to fund the construction of the numerous projects at school buildings at Alex Green Elementary, Apollo Middle, Dupont Elementary, Andrew Jackson Elementary, Cane Ridge High School, Nashville School of the Arts High School and Old Center Elementary School ; and,
WHEREAS, under the grant's Terms and Conditions the Metropolitan Government is required to execute and record a Notice of Federal Interest; and,
WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the Metropolitan Public Property Director be authorized to sign and record the Notice of Federal Interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Public Property Director is authorized to execute and record the Notice of Federal Interest, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
