WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Homeless Services, previously entered into a grant agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to develop a Continuum of Care (CoC) system; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that grant agreement to extend the term of the grant from June 30, 2026, to October 31, 2026, in order to expend remaining funds of $330,373.57, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one to the grant be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the Continuum of Care grant by and between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Homeless Services, as the local HUD Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Collaborative Applicant, to develop a CoC system, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
