An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public water main and easement, and to accept the vertical relocation of two sanitary sewer manholes, new public water main and easement, for property located at 1050 Donelson Avenue, also known as Old Hickory Community Center, (MWS Project Nos. 23-SL-23 and 23-WL-12 and Proposal No. 2023M-135ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 335 linear feet of existing 12-inch water main (DIP) and easement, and the acceptance of the vertical relocation of two sanitary sewer manholes, approximately 335 linear feet of new 12-inch water main (DIP) and easements, for property located at 1050 Donelson Avenue, also known as Old Hickory Community Center, are needed to construct project numbers 23-SL-23 and 23-WL-12; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2023M-135ES-001 on August 14, 2023, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 335 linear feet of existing 12-inch water main (DIP) and easement, and to accept the vertical relocation of two sanitary sewer manholes, approximately 335 linear feet of new 12-inch water main (DIP) and easements, for property located at 1050 Donelson Avenue, also known as Old Hickory Community Center, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
