A resolution honoring the life of Delta Rae Frye.

WHEREAS, Delta Rae Frye, a beloved wife, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the age of 34; and
WHEREAS, Delta was a Nashvillian of vibrant spirit, compassion, and love. She had a heart for her family, friends, and all living beings. Her group of friends was large and meaningful, and to Delta, they were not just friends but family; and
WHEREAS, she was an avid lover of history and the great outdoors, a passionate disc golf player, and a faithful steward of animals. Delta's life was marked by curiosity, adventure, and kindness, and her legacy will remain through the lives she touched; and
WHEREAS, through the joyful and heartfelt videos she created alongside her husband Matthew Allen Frye, Delta brought light, laughter, and inspiration to countless people on social media, spreading positivity and connection far beyond those who knew her personally; and
WHEREAS, Delta was preceded in death by her mother, Tammy Lynn Gunnells Frye, and her grandparents, Bill Lester Gunnells and Hessie Jane Elkins Gunnells, who adopted and raised her; and
WHEREAS, she is survived by her devoted husband of 15 years, Matthew Allen Frye; the children who were part of her heart and her life: Carter Joseph, Izzy, Eliza, Rylee, and Jesse; and her sisters, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and uncle; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper for the Metropolitan Council to honor Delta Rae Frye's life, her faith, her love for her family, and her generous spirit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as celebrating the life of Delta Rae Frye and recognizing her spirit and legacy of kindness she leaves behind.
