WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs to provide support to local law enforcement in developing and implementing evidence-based strategies to combat violent crimes approved by RS2023-55 and RS2024-833 (amendment one); and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to update Sections D.10. (Nondiscrimination) and D.20. (Procurement) and revise the budget (Attachment A-1), a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment two be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment two to the Hot Spot VCIF TCCRP grant by and between the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to provide support to local law enforcement in developing and implementing evidence-based strategies to combat violent crime, a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
