WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated ? Section 37-1-116 (f) provides that a county may contract with a juvenile court in another county to detain juveniles in a juvenile detention facility; and,
WHEREAS, the Davidson County Juvenile Court desires to enter in a contract between by and between the Government of Williamson County, on behalf of the Williamson County Juvenile Court and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County, acting by and through its Juvenile Court for the housing of juveniles in the Williamson County Juvenile Detention Center, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.
WHEREAS, approval of the contract is in the best interest of the citizens of Davidson County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the contract between by and between the Government of Williamson County, on behalf of the Williamson County Juvenile Court and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County, acting by and through its Juvenile Court, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
