WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns a parcel of property located at 2909 Sevier Street (Parcel No. 09402022900), part of which is shown on the attached Exhibit A; and,

WHEREAS, Piedmont Natural Gas Company has requested permanent easements as shown on Exhibit A, across said property for the purposes of constructing, installing and maintaining a permanent gas line; and,

WHEREAS, approval of the attached easement agreement is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The granting of the following permanent easements to Piedmont Natural Gas Company across said property for the purposes of installing a new natural gas line and underground improvements to upgrade and improve service to the area (as shown in attached Exhibit A) is hereby approved.

Section 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to grant said easements and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
