A resolution setting a public hearing for a proposed amendment to the Phillips-Jackson Street Redevelopment Plan.

WHEREAS, a Phillips-Jackson Street Redevelopment Plan consisting of text, exhibits, and maps currently exists as previously approved by Ordinance Number O93-773, and subsequently amended by Ordinance Nos. O99-1762, BL2001-861, BL2005-798, BL2013-377, BL2013-595 and BL2019-1645; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council desires to amend the Phillips-Jackson Street Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, the plan and any amendments are to be undertaken by the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency in accordance with and in furtherance of the objectives of Section 13-20-201 through 209, Tennessee Code Annotated; and
WHEREAS, Section 13-20-203, Tennessee Code Annotated, requires a public hearing on any redevelopment plan prior to final approval being given by the Metropolitan Council; and
WHEREAS, the proposed plan amendment will be referred by the Metropolitan Council to the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency for its review and approval; and
WHEREAS, a legal notice stating the date, time and place of said public hearings must be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the locality where the project is situated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That at the meeting of the Metropolitan Council to be held on Tuesday, December 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the Metropolitan Council Chamber in the Metropolitan Courthouse (One Public Square), the Council shall conduct a public hearing relative to amending the Phillips-Jackson Street Redevelopment Plan in the manner required by law, at which hearing any person or organization desiring to be heard regarding the proposed plan will be afforded such an opportunity.
