An ordinance to authorize building material restrictions and requirements for BL2026-1391, an ordinance amending Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, to add various new data center uses and related definitions and conditions to the Zoning Code (Proposal No. 2026Z-012TX-001). THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE REQUIRES CERTAIN MATERIALS TO BE RESTRICTED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the following building material restrictions and requirements as a part of BL2026-1391, an ordinance amending Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, to add various new data center uses and related definitions and conditions to the Zoning Code, are hereby authorized:
• Building façades oriented towards a public right-of-way or a parcel zoned a non-industrial zoning district shall be constructed of brick, brick veneer, stone, cast stone, cementitious siding, glass, or materials substantially similar in form and function. The Zoning Administrator may waive this requirement if the building façade is not visible from the adjacent parcel or the public right-of-way.
Section 2. That this ordinance take effect immediately after its passage and such change be published in a newspaper of general circulation, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
