An ordinance approving a contract between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Planning Department (“Planning”), and Focus Strategies (“Contractor”) to create a Permanent Supportive Housing Strategic Plan in coordination with the Housing Division of the Planning Department.

WHEREAS, the Planning Department (“Planning”) desires for the Housing Division to have a strategic plan for engaging stakeholders, identifying needs and capacity, identifying funding sources, and implementation strategies; and,
WHEREAS, Focus Strategies has demonstrated knowledge in permanent housing planning; and,
WHEREAS, Planning utilized the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency’s contracting process given their expertise in contracting for housing solutions; and,
WHEREAS, Planning and the Contractor wish to enter into a contract to create a Permanent Supportive Housing Strategic Plan; and,
WHEREAS, approval of the Contract is in the best interest of the citizens of Davidson County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Contract between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Focus Strategies, attached hereto as Exhibit 1, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That any amendment to the Contract shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least twenty-one (21) affirmative votes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
