A resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (hereinafter "MNPD"), and Williamson County Centennial High School (hereinafter "Centennial") for extra-duty police services.

WHEREAS, Centennial has identified a need for security and traffic control for certain activity or events; and,
WHEREAS, MNPD is able to provide extra-duty police services that would aid the Centennial to address this need; and,
WHEREAS, Centennial and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the MNPD, desire to enter into an intergovernmental agreement to provide this service; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this intergovernmental agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1: That the intergovernmental agreement by and between Centennial and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to provide extra-duty police services, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
