An ordinance granting amendment three to a contract between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Digitech Computer, LLC for fire medical emergency billing and collection services.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (“Metro”), previously entered into a contract with Digitech Computer, LLC, Contract number 458569, on August 26, 2019; and

WHEREAS, contract number 458569 was originally set to expire in August 2025, and was extended by resolution an additional ten (10) months for a total term of seventy (70) months; and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent has recommended that contract number 458569 for the fire emergency medical services billing and collection services be extended again, with a new expiration date set for June 30, 2026, to allow sufficient time to complete to RFP process, and transition accounts to a new vendor if needed; and

WHEREAS, the parties additionally wish to amend this contract by adding $1,000,000.00 to total contract value, a copy of which amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, bringing the revised contract total to $6,890,000.000; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the amendment to the grant contract be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     That this Third Amendment to the contract with Digitech Computer, LLC, Contract number 458569, for fire medical emergency billing and collection services, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the same.                     

Section 2.                     That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
