WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council, through RS2023-32, supported a conceptual plan for the beautification of an underpass located near 3246 Moorewood Drive, in the Parkwood Neighborhood, under the Briley Parkway/State Route 155 bridge (the "Mural Project"), and approved an application for a license agreement between the State and Metro pertaining to the Project; and,
WHEREAS, Metro, acting by and through NDOT, now desires to enter into a license agreement with the State to use a portion of the State's underpass described in Exhibit A to the license agreement attached hereto (the "Licensed Premises"), in connection with the Mural Project; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the license agreement, the State proposes to grant a no-cost license to NDOT to use the Licensed Premises for the Mural Project; and,
WHEREAS, T.C.A. ? 12-9-104(b) authorizes Metro to enter into agreements with the State by resolution; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this intergovernmental license agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
