A resolution approving Amendment Number 1 to a sole source contract between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and NuOrigin Systems, Inc. to increase the value for the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County ("Metro") previously entered into Contract 6494862, with NuOrigin Systems, Inc., for annual maintenance, support, and necessary upgrades for various mission critical applications, the value of which was $1,500,000; and,
WHEREAS, the parties desire to enter into Amendment Number 1 to this contract to increase the value of the contract to add $550,000 for a revised contract total of $2,050,000, to remove the requirement to identify the project name, RFQ or Contract number on the ACORD document, and to add required provisions; and,
WHEREAS, approval of the contract amendment attached hereto and incorporated herein with NuOrigin Systems, Inc. will benefit the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Amendment Number 1 to a contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and NuOrigin Systems, Inc. (contract number 6494862), to increase the value, remove the requirement to identify the project name, RFQ or Contract number on the ACORD document, and to add required provisions, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
