WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 10 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (VCP) and one sanitary sewer manhole, and the acceptance of one new sanitary sewer manhole, for five properties located on Jo Johnston Avenue, also known as MLK High School Parking, are needed to construct project number 25-SL-131; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-127ES-001 on August 7, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer main and sanitary sewer manholes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 10 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (VCP) and one sanitary sewer manhole, and to accept one sanitary sewer manhole, for five properties located on Jo Johnston Avenue, also known as MLK High School Parking, as shown on Exhibits 1 and 2, which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.
