WHEREAS, a state-aid highway system consisting of certain routes in the county road network was established by Tenn. Code Ann. ? 54-4-401 et seq.; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government and TDOT seek to enter into an intergovernmental agreement for the repair of existing pavement failures and resurfacing of 0.830 miles of Clarksville Pike/Dr. D.B. Todd Jr. Boulevard, from Buchanan Street to Ed Temple Boulevard/Rosa L. Parks Boulevard; State Project No. 19SAR1-S8-013, PIN: 132521; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the intergovernmental agreement between TDOT and the Metropolitan Government attached hereto as Exhibit A, and incorporated by reference, the total cost estimate of the project is $1,549,100.00, 85% of which will be funded by the State, and 15%, or $232,365.00, of which will be funded by Metro, subject to the availability of funding from Metro; and,
WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated Section 12-9-104(a)(2)(b) authorizes the Metropolitan Government to enter into intergovernmental agreements with the State of Tennessee by resolution; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this intergovernmental agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
