WHEREAS, RS2014-1180 approved individual agreements and individual amendments on August 5, 2014, between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County ("Metro") and Whole Customers including the City of Belle Meade, the City of Brentwood, the City of Goodlettsville, the City of Lavergne, and the City of Millersville, for sewage treatment, with each individual term expiring on October 1, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, RS2015-1469 approved individual agreements on May 6, 2015, between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County ("Metro") and Whole Customers including the City of Ridgetop and the White House Utility District, for sewage treatment, ending on October 1, 2024,
WHEREAS, the individual agreements and amendments ("Wholesale Contracts") allowed for the selection of a rate consultant not later than October 1, 2018 to develop the initial utility price for the calendar year beginning October 1, 2019, and Metro and Wholesale Customers wish to extend the time allowed for the Selection of a Rate Consultant to not later than December 1, 2023, to develop the initial utility price for the calendar year beginning October 1, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the Agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, allows for the selection of a rate consultant; and,
WHEREAS, the Agreement is needed for Metro and Wholesale Customers to develop new long-term agreements for Metro to safely and effectively accept and treat sewage flows from the Wholesale Customers.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
