WHEREAS, longtime Nashville resident, and Founder of Layman Lessons Ministries Louie Johnston passed away peacefully on February 8, 2021 in Nashville, he was 70 years old; and

WHEREAS, Louie Johnston served Nashville, the State of Tennessee, and the United States of America through continuous acts of selfless giving during his lifetime, as a Minister, published author, historian, coach, speaker, producer and business man; and

WHEREAS, spending his preschool years in the company of his grandmother at her one-room shack, he acquired his devout love of God and Country from her during long walks to church every Sunday; and

WHEREAS, after starting work in the hay fields at 12 years old, being employed by Burger King, the Brick Masons, and day labor, Louie Johnston became the Terminal Manager, and Teamster Supervisor at Yellow Freight by age 21; and

WHEREAS, prior to earning his MBA from LaSalle University in 1997, Johnston launched a business efficiency company in 1982, which by 1990, led to his acquisition of Blue Wing USA, an 80 year old company supporting military needs around the world via the efficient use of business practices and modern technology and earning a patent for an automated system for the manufacturing of customized military uniform insignia badges; and

WHEREAS, Louie Johnston founded and ran the American Constitution Center, a public library for Judeo-Christian Patriot Heritage promoting the American system of fundamental principles that govern our great Nation; and

WHEREAS, as an Ordained Minister, Johnston founded and operated Patriot Pastors, a National network of leadership of all who believe in God Jehovah of the Holy Bible, providing free resources and totally confidential non-denominational pastor training; and was an accomplished singer, songwriter and music producer; and

WHEREAS, having excelled in sports through his college days, Johnston officiated countless high ...
