WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 347 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main, approximately 508 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, one fire hydrant assembly and two sanitary sewer manholes, and the acceptance of approximately 363 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 517 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), one fire hydrant assembly, and five sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 300 Rains Avenue, also known as Fairgrounds Wingrove Street Intersection, are needed to construct project numbers 25-WL-60 and 25-SL-136; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-181ES-001 on December 16, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water and sanitary sewer mains, fire hydrant assembly and sanitary sewer manholes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 347 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main, approximately 508 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, one fire hydrant assembly and two sanitary sewer manholes, and to accept approximately 363 linear feet of ne...
