A resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement by and between the Nashville Fire Department, Fire Marshal's Office ("NFD"), and the City of Berry Hill ("Berry Hill"), for the provision of fire and building safety inspection services for Berry Hill.

WHEREAS, NFD has agreed to conduct fire and life safety inspections annually in Berry Hill, and NFD will conduct additional fire and building safety inspections as necessary related to complaints or upon request by Berry Hill; and,
WHERES, NFD will require any construction and development projects within the city limits of Berry Hill to obtain all necessary permits related to fire and life safety; and,
WHEREAS, NFD will manage emergency response and address fire code and life safety complaints in Berry Hill; and,
WHEREAS, approval of this agreement is in best interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the intergovernmental agreement by and between the Nashville Fire Department, Fire Marshal's Office ("NFD"), and the City of Berry Hill ("Berry Hill"), for the provision of fire and building safety inspection services for Berry Hill, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this resolution shall become effective from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
