A resolution approving an application for a Regional Infrastructure Accelerator Program grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Nashville Department of Transportation & Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT), to develop and coordinate project staging and financing for the multitude of transportation and related infrastructure projects in development that impact the Middle Tennessee region.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Transportation is accepting applications for a Regional Infrastructure Accelerator Program grant with an award of $4,000,000 with no cash match required to develop and coordinate project staging and financing for the multitude of transportation and related infrastructure projects in development that impact the Middle Tennessee region; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through NDOT, is eligible to participate in the grant program; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the grant application for a Regional Infrastructure Accelerator Program grant with an award of $4,000,000, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Nashville Department of Transportation & Multimodal Infrastructure is authorized to submit said grant application to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
