An ordinance amending Chapter 16.24 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws to require shopping centers to provide publicly accessible rubbish and garbage containers.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Section 16.24.360 is hereby amended by adding the following as Subsection F:

F. Shopping Center Common Area Containers. The operator of every shopping center, as defined in 17.04.060 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws (see Retail, shopping center), shall provide one container for rubbish and garbage for every three tenant bays within the shopping center. Such containers shall be located in a manner that is visible and accessible by the public and maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
