A resolution approving an agreement between the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency ("TWRA") and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department ("MNPD"), to issue Boating Law Enforcement Commissions to selected members of the MNPD.

WHEREAS, the agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein provides terms to authorize respective MNPD officers to attend TWRA training, enforce boating laws, and assist with investigations related to the Boating Safety Act of 1965; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the agreement by and between the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to issue Boating Law Enforcement Commissions to selected members of the MNPD, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution approves an agreement between the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency ("TWRA") and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department ("MNPD") to issue boating law enforcement commissions to selected members of the MNPD.
Pursuant to the agreement, certain officers of the MNPD will be authorized to enforce the provisions of Chapter 9 of Title 69 of the Tennessee Code, often called the Boating Safety Act of 1965.
