A resolution recognizing the retirement of Davidson County Division VI Judge Michael F. Mondelli.

WHEREAS, Judge Michael F. Mondelli has served the citizens of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County for many years and has made significant contributions to the judicial community; and

WHEREAS, Judge Mondelli attended Father Ryan High School and later received both his B.S. degree in 1969 and Law Degree in 1973 from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville; and

WHEREAS, Judge Mondelli was elected to General Sessions Court Division VI in 1990, a division previously occupied by his father, the late Leslie Mondelli, Sr.; and

WHEREAS, he was re-elected to Division VI in 1998 and previously served as Presiding Judge for General Sessions Court in 1993-1994, 1998-1999, and 2013-2014; and

WHEREAS, Judge Mondelli served as President of the General Sessions Judges Conference for a one year term beginning September of 2002; and

WHEREAS, Judge Mondelli is an original founding member of Justice Integration Services (JIS), which is a department created to provide customized, integrated case management software and technology support products to Metro Nashville Justice Agencies; and

WHEREAS, Judge Mondelli has been the Chair of the JIS Policy Committee for the past sixteen years and has helped materialize the advancement of technology in the justice system for Nashville and Davidson County; and

WHEREAS, Judge Mondelli holds professional memberships with the Nashville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Tennessee General Sessions Judges Conference, Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women, the American Bar Association and the American Judges Association; and

WHEREAS, Judge Mondelli is a dedicated family man and is married to Ann (Henderson) Mondelli and they have four children and nine grandchildren; and
