A resolution approving the election of certain Notaries Public for Davidson County.

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 8-16-101, provides that the members of the county legislative body shall effect as many notaries public for their county as they may deem necessary; and
WHEREAS, the Davidson County Clerk has determined that each individual applicant for notary meets all of the qualifications of the office of notary public and that all are residents of Davidson County or have their principal place of business in Davidson County; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan County Council has determined that it is necessary for the election of additional notaries public for Davidson County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That those persons named on the list attached hereto as “Exhibit A,” and incorporated by reference the same as if copied in full herein, are hereby elected as Notaries Public for Davidson County.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
