WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government owns a certain parcel of property located at 0 American Road (Map/Parcel No. 09011004700) ("the Property"); and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services has declared the Property surplus; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government has determined that the Property is no longer needed for governmental purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the Property in its current state, is a non-buildable parcel that is bounded by ten adjoining tracts; and,
WHEREAS, the Division of Public Property Administration desires to offer the Property for sale to the owners of the adjoining tracts through a bidding process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Council declares the parcel of land, owned in fee simple by the Metropolitan Government, located at 0 American Road (Map/Parcel No. 09011004700) ("the Property") and described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein, to be surplus.
Section 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of the Property by offering the Property for sale to the adjoining tract owners through a bidding process.
Section 3. The Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to sell the Property to the owner of an adjacent tract offering the highest price that is determined to be in the best interests of the Metropolitan Government.
Section 4. The Director of Public Property Administration or designee is authorized to execute such documents as are customary and necessary to carry out the intent of this ordinance.
