An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public water main, and to accept new public water main, fire hydrant assemblies and sanitary sewer manhole, for property located at 2000 Church Street, also known as the Mid-State Medical Office Building (MWS Project Nos. 21-WL-87 and 21-SL-237 and Proposal No. 2022M-068ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 167 linear feet of existing six inch water main, and the acceptance of approximately 167 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), two fire hydrant assemblies and one sanitary sewer manhole, for property located at 2000 Church Street, also known as the Mid-State Medical Office Building, are needed to construct project numbers 21-WL-87 and 21-SL-237; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2022M-068ES-001 on April 21, 2022, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains, fire hydrant assemblies and sanitary sewer manhole.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 167 linear feet of existing six inch water main, and to accept approximately 167 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), two fire hydrant assemblies and one sanitary sewer manhole, for property located at 2000 Church Street, also known as the Mid-State Medical Office Building, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
