A resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement by and between the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces ("OCDETF") and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, for reimbursement of overtime salary costs for certain officers through the Use of the State & Local Overtime and Authorized Expenses and Strategic Initiative Program.

WHEREAS, the OCDETF Operation has resulted in numerous arrests of MS-13 members and associates, as well as the seizure of firearms and narcotics and the reduction in violent crime within the targeted area and wishes for funding to continue; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this intergovernmental agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the intergovernmental agreement by and between the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces ("OCDETF") and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department attached hereto, is hereby approved and authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
