WHEREAS, Resolution RS2023-78 was intended to approve an in-kind grant from the Friends of McCabe Park in partnership with the Nashville Parks Foundation to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to provide funding for renovation and expansion of the playground, landscaping, and equipment upgrades at the McCabe Park Community Center; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution RS2023-78 needs to be amended to correct a typographical error in the name of the grantor listed in Section 1; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment to Resolution RS2023-78 be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Resolution RS2023-78 is hereby amended by deleting it in its entirety and replacing it with the following:
"Section 1. That the in-kind grant by and between the Friends of McCabe Park in partnership with the Nashville Parks Foundation, in an amount not to exceed $400,000, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to provide funding for renovation and expansion of the playground, landscaping, and equipment upgrades at the McCabe Park Community Center, a copy of which in-kind grant is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved."
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
