WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, seek to enter into an intergovernmental agreement for the repair of existing pavement failures and resurfacing of 3.105 miles of Tulip Grove Road, from State Route 265 to the State Route 24; State Project No. 19SAR1-S8-015, PIN: 133444; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the agreement attached hereto, the total cost estimate of the project is $1,887,100.00, 98% of which will be funded by the State, and 2%, or $37,742.00, of which will be funded by Metro, subject to the availability of funding from Metro; and,
WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 12-9-104(a)(2)(b), authorizes the Metropolitan Government to enter into intergovernmental agreements with the State of Tennessee by resolution; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government that this intergovernmental agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the intergovernmental agreement between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved, and that the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
