WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns a parcel of property located at 0 Hwy 70 South (Parcel No. 14200021700), part of which is shown on the attached Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, Piedmont Natural Gas Company has requested a permanent utility easement as shown on Exhibit A, across said properties for the purposes of constructing, installing, maintaining, operating, repairing, altering, replacing, removing, relocating, inspecting, upgrading, and protecting one or more underground pipelines; and,
WHEREAS, Piedmont Natural Gas Company has agreed, as Grantee, to pay fair market value as compensation for said easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The granting of the following permanent utility easement to Piedmont Natural Gas Company across said property for the purposes of constructing, installing, maintaining, operating, repairing, altering, replacing, removing, relocating, inspecting, upgrading, and protecting one or more underground pipelines as shown in attached Exhibit A is hereby approved.

Section 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to grant said easement and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
