WHEREAS, RS2008-245 approved an intergovernmental agreement between TDOT and the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Metropolitan Public Works Department, now known as NDOT ("Metro"), for improvements on Jefferson Street; and,
WHEREAS, based upon the Agreement, TDOT awarded to Metro a grant in an amount not to exceed $920,808.00, with a required match of $480,203.00 by the Metropolitan Government, for intersection improvements on Jefferson Street; and,
WHEREAS, RS2013-745 approved Amendment Number 1 to the Agreement, which extended the original project completion date to June 1, 2017, and specifically identified the two intersections on Jefferson Street which are to be improved, 28th Avenue/Ed Temple and 21st Avenue North; and,
WHEREAS, RS2017-708 approved Amendment Number 2 to the Agreement, which extended the project completion date to June 1, 2019, in light of a traffic study that made additional recommendations that affected the project schedule; and,
WHEREAS, RS2019-1624 approved Amendment Number 3 to the Agreement, which extended the project completion date to December 31, 2020, in light of a revised schedule for delivery of final construction plans; and,
WHEREAS, RS2020-649 approved Amendment Number 4 to the Agreement, which extended the project completion date to December 31, 2022, to allow time to procure right-of-way and construction inspection on-call services from TDOT, and approved the TDOT-awarded grant to an amount not to exceed $2,880,000, with an increased required match of $1,045,563 from Metro, to cover the design, right-of...
