NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Section 16.24.330 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws is hereby amended by adding the following subsection S:

S. Intermodal Containers.  On any property zoned R or RS, no intermodal container, including but not limited to general-purpose shipping containers, garmentainers, and/or hard or soft-open topped bulk containers, shall be kept for storage purposes anywhere on the property for longer than 90 days.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This ordinance prohibits the storage of an intermodal container on property zoned R or RS for longer than 90 days. Intermodal containers include general-purpose shipping containers, garmentainers, and/or hard or soft-open topped bulk containers.
