An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public water main, fire hydrant assemblies and easements, and to accept new fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for property located at 4500 Harding Pike, also known as Belle Meade Plaza (MWS Project No. 24-WL-56 and Proposal No. 2025M-030ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 1,250 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main, two fire hydrant assemblies and easements, and the acceptance of two fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for property located at 4500 Harding Pike, also known as Belle Meade Plaza, are needed to construct project number 24-WL-56; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-030ES-001 on May 15, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water main, fire hydrant assemblies and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 1,250 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main, two fire hydrant assemblies and easements, and to accept two fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for property located at 4500 Harding Pike, also known as Belle Meade Plaza, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
