An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes and easements, and to accept new public fire hydrant assembly and sanitary sewer manholes, for three properties located at 450 and 460 James Robertson Parkway and 300 Gay Street (MWS Project Nos. 25-WL-39 and 24-SL-168 and Proposal No. 2025M-120ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 63 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, two sanitary sewer manholes and easements, and the acceptance of one fire hydrant assembly and two sanitary sewer manholes, for three properties located at 450 and 460 James Robertson Parkway and 300 Gay Street, are needed to construct project numbers 24-WL-39 and 24-SL-168; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M_120ES-001 on July 22, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer mains, fire hydrant assembly, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 63 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, two sanitary sewer manholes and easements, and to accept one fire hydrant assembly and two sanitary sewer manholes, for three properties located at 450 and 460 James Robertson Parkway and 300 Gay Street, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
