WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 312 linear feet of existing 15-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 378 linear feet of existing 18-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), and two sanitary sewer manholes, and the acceptance of approximately 312 linear feet of new 15-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 393 linear feet of new 18-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), and three new sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 560 Great Circle Road, also known as Watkins South, are needed to construct project number 23-SL-78; and,

 

WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2024M-099ES-001 on August 8, 2024, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer mains and sanitary sewer manholes.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

 

Section 1.                     The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 312 linear feet of existing 15-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 378 linear feet of existing 18-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), and two sanitary sewer manholes, and to accept approximately 312 linear feet of new 15-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 393 linear feet of new 18-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), and three new sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 560 Great Circle Road, also known as Watkins South, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2.                     The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.

 

Section 3.                     This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Tennessee Code Annotated § 7-35-406(a)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.

 

This proposal has been approved by the Planning Commission.
