WHEREAS, the acceptance of approximately 184 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 164 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), the vertical realignment of approximately 32 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP) and five new sanitary sewer manholes, for two properties located at 3104 and 3108 Alpine Park Boulevard, is needed to construct project numbers 24-WL-61 and 24-SL-211; and,

WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2024M-146ES-001 on April 8, 2025, for the acceptance of said water and sanitary sewer mains, vertical realignment of existing sanitary sewer main and sanitary sewer manholes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to accept approximately 184 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 164 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), the vertical realignment of approximately 32 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP) and five new sanitary sewer manholes, for two properties located at 3104 and 3108 Alpine Park Boulevard, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2.                     The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the acceptance authorized by this resolution.

Section 3.                     This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Tennessee Code Annotated section 7-35-406(a)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.

 

This proposal has been approved by the Planning Commission.
