WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 245 linear feet of existing 10-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), and the acceptance of approximately 245 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), at three properties located at Hickory Highlands Drive and Bell Road, in existing public easements, offsite of the project location at 2920 Hamilton Church Road, also known as Autumn Lake Offsite Sewer, are needed to construct project number 24-SL-244.; and,

WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-041ES-001 on April 3, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer mains.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 245 linear feet of existing 10-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), and to accept approximately 245 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), at three properties located at Hickory Highlands Drive and Bell Road, in existing public easements, offsite of the project location at 2920 Hamilton Church Road, also known as Autumn Lake Offsite Sewer, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2.                     The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.

Section 3.                     This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Tennessee Code Annotated § 7-35-406(a)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.

 

This proposal has been approved by the Planning Commission.
