WHEREAS, Resolution RS2023-2166 was intended to approve amendment one to a grant from the Tennessee Department of Human Services to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, to establish and enforce federal and state mandated child support program guidelines for children born out of wedlock; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution RS2023-2166 should be amended to correct an error in the description of the required cash match and updated end date as reflected in the resolution and tracking form and summary sheet for the amendment; and,
WHEREAS, the parties, through amendment one to the grant agreement, wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $1,054,600.00 from $974,868.04 to $2,029,468.04, increase the required cash match by $543,300.00 from $502,204.96 to $1,045,504.96, and extend the end date of the grant to June 30, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment to Resolution RS2023-2166 be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Resolution RS2023-2166 is hereby amended by deleting it in its entirety and replacing it with the following:
“Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Human Services and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, to establish and enforce federal and state mandated child support program guidelines for children born out of wedlock, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.”
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution amends Resolution No. RS2023-2166 to correct an error. RS2023-2166 approved the first amendment to a grant from the Tennessee Department of Human Services to the Davidson County Juvenile Court, originally approved pursuant to RS2022-1523, used to establish and enforce federal and state mandated child support program guidelines for children born out of wedlock.
The amendment approved by RS2023-2166 had an error in the grant budget summary sheet and grants tracking form description of the required cash match and the updated end date of the grant. The amendment under consideration would correct this error to reflect the actual amount of the cash match, which is a total of $543,300, and the grant end date, which is June 30, 2024.
