An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water main, fire hydrant assemblies and easements, to relocate existing water main, and to accept new water main, fire hydrant assemblies and easements for property located at 1419 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard (MWS Project No. 19-WL-128 and Proposal No. 2020M-064ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 609 linear feet of existing six inch water main, two fire hydrant assemblies and easements, the relocation of 10 linear feet of existing six inch water main (DIP), and the acceptance of approximately 609 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), two fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for property located at 1419 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, are needed to construct project number 19-WL-128; and, WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2020M 064ES-001 on August 3, 2020, for the abandonment, relocation and acceptance of said water mains, fire hydrant assemblies and easements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY: Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 609 linear feet of existing six inch water main, two fire hydrant assemblies and easements, to relocate 10 linear feet of existing six inch water main (DIP), and to accept approximately 609 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), two fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for property located at 1419 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference. Map & Parcel: Address:

The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment, relocation and acceptance authorized by this ordinance. Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
