Agenda Analysis
Analysis
This resolution approves the first amendment to a contract between the Metropolitan Government and Ryder Integrated Logistics for the lease of refrigerated trucks and trailers for Metro Action Commission’s (“MAC”) summer food services program.
The agreement was originally approved pursuant to Resolution No. RS2022-1526. The contract term is for 60 months and expires May 17, 2027. The lease permits MAC to use the refrigerated trucks to store perishable items at MAC’s designated locations for approximately eight weeks each summer over the term of the contract.
The proposed amendment increases the value of the contract by $150,000, from $300,000 to $450,000. The amendment also removes the requirement for a RFQ, project name, or project description to appear on a certificate of insurance and adds language regarding the boycott of Israel, as required by state law.
Section 5.04.020 of the Metropolitan Code provides that all leases of equipment or automobiles shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council if the annual expenditure for the lease exceeds five thousand dollars. The estimated value of this contract, if amended, is $450,000.
Fiscal Note: This amendment to contract number 6513915 with Ryder Integrated Logistics, Inc. for the refrigerated trucks and trailer for MAC Summer Food Services Program increases the estimated contract life value by $150,000 from $300,000 to $450,000 be paid from Fund 31505, Cost Center 1075303300.
