An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public sanitary sewer main and easement, and to accept new public sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 3606 Fairview Drive, also known as Fairview Meadows (MWS Project No. 24-SL-226 and Proposal No. 2025M-026ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 29 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (VCP) and easement, and the acceptance of approximately 348 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 29 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), three sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 3606 Fairview Drive, also known as Fairview Meadows, are needed to construct project number 24-SL-226; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-026ES-001 on May 15, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 29 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (VCP) and easement, and to accept approximately 348 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 29 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), three sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 3606 Fairview Drive, also known as Fairview Meadows, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
