WHEREAS, the abandonment of one fire hydrant assembly and the acceptance of the relocation of one fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 2415 Vanderbilt Place, also known as Vanderbilt University Central Neighborhood RC3, are needed to construct project number 26-WL-101; and,

WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2026M-047ES-001 on June 23, 2026, for the abandonment and acceptance of relocation of said fire hydrant assemblies.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon one fire hydrant assembly and to accept the relocation of one fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 2415 Vanderbilt Place, also known as Vanderbilt University Central Neighborhood RC3, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

 Section 2.                     The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.

Section 3.                     This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution abandons one fire hydrant assembly and accepts the relocation of one fire hydrant assembly for property located at 2415 Vanderbilt Place, also known as Vanderbilt University Central Neighborhood RC3.

 

Tennessee Code Annotated § 7-35-406(A)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extension, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.

 

This proposal has been approved by the Planning Commission.
