An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon public sanitary sewer main and sanitary sewer manhole, and to accept new public water mains, public fire hydrant assemblies, public sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 4516 LaVergne Couchville Pike, also known as Hickory Woods (MWS Project Nos. 22-WL-107 and 24-SL-030 and Proposal No. 2024M-097ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 137 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main and one sanitary sewer manhole and the acceptance of approximately 1,008 linear feet of new eight-inch water main, two fire hydrant assemblies, two sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 4516 LaVergne Couchville Pike, also known as Hickory Woods, are needed to construct project numbers 22-WL-107 and 24-SL-030; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2024M-097ES-001 on July 18, 2024, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water and sewer mains, fire hydrant assemblies, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 137 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main and one sanitary sewer manhole, and to accept approximately 1,008 linear feet of new eight-inch water main, two fire hydrant assemblies, two sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 4516 LaVergne Couchville Pike, also known as Hickory Woods, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
