WHEREAS, Ordinance No. BL2025-973, approved, September 2, 2025, authorized the abandonment of approximately 500 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (VCP), one fire hydrant assembly and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 4,053 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 1,239 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 3,317 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), eight fire hydrant assemblies, 30 sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for six properties located on Walton Lane, also known as Walton Station; and,

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 90 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (DIP) and two sanitary sewer manholes, and the acceptance of approximately 3,553 fewer linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 3,040 fewer linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 367 fewer linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), six fewer fire hydrant assemblies, 18 fewer sanitary sewer manholes and easements, are now needed to construct Project Nos. 23-WL-100 and 23-SL-271; and,

WHEREAS, the Map and Parcel information of the previously approved property has been consolidated to property located at 117 B Straton Lane and phasing has been added; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-091ES-002 on July 28, 2026, for revisions to the original mandatory referral; and,

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. BL2025-973 provides that amendments to the legislation shall be approved by resolution.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     That Ordinance No. BL2025-973 is hereby amended by deleting Section 1 in its entirety and replacing it with the following:

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 90 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 500 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (VCP), one fire hydrant assembly and two sanitary sewer manholes and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 500 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 277 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 872 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), two fire hydrant assemblies, 12 sanitary sewer manholes, and associated easements, for property located at 117 B Straton Lane, also known as Walton Station Phase 1, as shown below and on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2.                     The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect upon passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

The ordinance abandoned approximately 500 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main (VCP) and one fire hydrant assembly and easements, and accepted of approximately 4,053 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 1,239 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 3,317 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), eight fire hydrant assemblies, 30 sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for six properties located on Walton Lane, also known as Walton Station.

 

The proposed resolution would amend BL2025-973 to abandon 90 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (DIP) and two sanitary sewer manholes, and accept approximately 3,553 fewer linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 3,040 fewer linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 367 fewer linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), six fewer fire hydrant assemblies, 18 fewer sanitary sewer manholes and easements. In addition, map and parcel information for the properties were consolidated to property located at 117 B Straton Lane.

 

This amendment has been approved by the Planning Commission. BL2025-973 may be amended by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.
