An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public water main, fire hydrant assemblies and easements, and to accept new public water main, fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for property located at Brick Church Pike (unnumbered) offsite of the project location at 2405 Monticello Drive, also known as the Monticello Offsite, (MWS Project No. 23-WL-62 and Proposal No. 2025M-094ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 1,315 linear feet of existing six-inch water main (DIP), five fire hydrant assemblies and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 2,429 linear feet of new 12-inch water main (DIP), five fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for property located at Brick Church Pike (unnumbered) offsite of the project location at 2405 Monticello Drive, also known as Monticello Offsite, are needed to construct project number 23-WL-62; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M_094ES-001 on June 26, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains, fire hydrant assemblies and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 1,315 linear feet of existing six-inch water main (DIP), five fire hydrant assemblies and easements, and to accept approximately 2,429 linear feet of new 12-inch water main (DIP), five fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for property located at Brick Church Pike (unnumbered) offsite of the project location at 2405 Monticello Drive, also known as Monticello Offsite, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
