A resolution authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing sanitary sewer main, and to accept new public sanitary sewer main and sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 492 Craighead Street, also known as Vintage Fair Park (MWS Project No. 25-SL-154 and Proposal No. 2026M-010ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 625 linear feet of existing sanitary sewer main, and the acceptance of approximately 637 linear feet of new 10-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP) and four sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 492 Craighead Street, also known as Vintage Fair Park Development, are needed to construct project number 25-SL-154; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved with conditions mandatory referral No. 2026M-010ES-001 on February 27, 2026, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer mains and sanitary sewer manholes; and,
WHEREAS, NES’s condition that all work must maintain clearances with any utility poles to prevent undermining the integrity of the base of the poles, will be met as this is standard practice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 625 linear feet of existing sanitary sewer main, and to accept approximately 637 linear feet of new 10-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP) and four sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 492 Craighead Street, also known as Vintage Fair Park, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Tennessee Code Annotated section 7-35-406(a)(2) and Ordinance No. BL2024-345 allow the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extension, additions, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.
