An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manhole and easement, and to accept new public sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at Riverside Drive (unnumbered), also known as Riverside Residential (MWS Project No. 24-SL-45 and Proposal No. 2025M-011ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 244 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, one sanitary sewer manhole and any associated easements, and the acceptance of approximately 430 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 526 linear feet of new eight-inch sewer main (DIP), four new sanitary sewer manholes and any associated easements, for property located at Riverside Drive (unnumbered), also known as Riverside Residential, are needed to construct project number 24-SL-45; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-011ES-001 on February 12, 2025, for the abandonment and acceptance of said public sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes, and associated easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized for to abandon approximately 244 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, one sanitary sewer manhole and any associated easements, and to accept approximately 430 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 526 linear feet of new eight-inch sewer main (DIP), four new sanitary sewer manholes and any associated easements, for property located at Riverside Drive (unnumbered), also known as Riverside Residential, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Fiscal Note: This ordinance has no cost to Metro. Abandoned and donated easements have no market value according to the Department of Water Services.
