A resolution accepting a grant from the Metro Historical Commission Foundation to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metro Historical Commission, to assist with a portion of the costs associated with the site’s master plan for Fort Negley Park.

WHEREAS, the Metro Historical Commission Foundation has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00 with no cash match required to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metro Historical Commission, to assist with a portion of the costs associated with the site’s master plan for Fort Negley Park; and, 

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1.                     That the grant by and between the Metro Historical Commission Foundation, in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00, to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metro Historical Commission, to assist with a portion of the costs associated with the site’s master plan for Fort Negley Park, a copy of which grant is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2.                     That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Metro Historical Commission.

Section 3.                     That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution approves a grant in an amount not to exceed $75,000 from the Metro Historical Commission Foundation to the Metro Historical Commission to assist with a portion of the costs associated with the site's master plan for Fort Negley Park.

 

This grant does not require a local cash match, but the funds are paid out as reimbursable for work that has been completed and paid. The term of the grant is October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.
